Dreamlands Troubadour

If moonlight flights are chartered

I’d like a ticket for each tour,

for every night in every dream

to go back and explore.

What sheer delight to spend the nights

drifting through the sky,

Looking down on all below

lit by fireflies.

To hear the songs of every bird,

and fluttering gossamer wings,

Touching stars through passing clouds

of billowy openings.

I’d dip my toes in dewdrops

tickling me with mirth,

and sprinkle glistening moonbeams

down upon the earth.

I’d visit every planet

before the sun fades out the moon

and gather every dream that’s there

for day dream afternoons

For dreams we have are endless

each different than before,

and I’d enjoy the flight each night

becoming dreamlands troubadour.
