My God Is Talking To Me (A Hymn)

I see the gifts that were given to me

A bountiful earth, every god seeded tree

Wide open plains all this land to the sea

All the fish filled deep oceans God has given to me

Bright crescent moons enfold me with light

Gentle tides wash the shores of the seas

Golden sun warms the earth

Storming rain feeding greens

All are gifts that my gods given me

And who is it tells me that Gods gifts are free

Why it’s my God that’s talking to me

-----------------------------------------------------------

I hear the gifts that were given to me

The laugh of a child, singing birds in the trees

Thundering clouds and the foam of the surf

All the sweet sounds of nature are given to me

All that my god is making me see

Sounds of raindrops that fall on dark stormy days

Rustling leaves in the forests and glen

And the call of wild eagles that drift on the wind

On their journey by, time and again

And who is it tells me that Gods gifts are free

Why it’s my God that’s talking to me

-----------------------------------------------------------

I breath in the air that was given to me

Love the smell of rich earth after rain

And the scents of wild roses on high dunes of sand

During summers of my gods terrain

The touch of a love that was given to me

Is a gift I’ll return as I should

I feel god’s embrace and the comfort of love

Yes the love from my Gods understood

And who is it tells me that Gods gifts are free

Why it’s my God that’s talking to me

-----------------------------------------------------------

There is love in my heart and a spirit that’s free

I feel goodness that Gods given me

And it’s Gods loving grace that lifts my spirit high

And it’s Gods grace that makes me feel free

And who is it tells me that Gods gifts are free

Why it’s my God that’s talking to me

Yes it’s my God that tells me my spirit is free

Granting freedom for me to be me

And I know that I’m speaking to my God alone

For my God lives forever in me

Yes my God lives forever in me.
